Performances will run at Synapsis Theatre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm from August 24th to September 9th, with matinees at 3pm on both August 26th and September 9th. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door with advance tickets available by calling 707-839-1219 until 6pm.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is an off-Broadway musical theater play that originally opened in New York in 1998. This music performance is emotionally interwoven with an intense story of lost dreams, lost love, and lost gender. Hansel, the main character, is the victim of a botched sex change operation he went through in order to marry and leave communist Germany with his G.I. lover Luther, only to find his/herself a year later divorced, destitute and living in a Junction City trailer park. Come see Humboldt County's own production of the Angry Itch performed by six local rockers!
